Daily rates
- 2015 Ford Explorer (AWD, 7 seats): from $75 a day off-season
- 2018 Ford Explorer (AWD, 7 seats): from $90 a day off-season
- 2016 Lincoln MKX (AWD, 5 seats, leather): from $90 a day off-season
- Rates rise for holiday weeks (Christmas to New Year, Presidents Day, spring break) and some powder weekends, and drop in shoulder season. The live price for your dates is on the booking page.
What is included
- 200 miles per day, then $0.70 per mile
- Winter tires on every car, all year
- Keypad door code: no counter, no key handoff, pickup any hour
- Free pickup at our lot at 1680 Airport Rd, Unit C1
- Local support by phone or text 7 days a week
Delivery to your lodging
Optional at checkout; the price covers both drop-off and pickup at your address:
- Breckenridge (any address in town, Peaks 7 to 9, neighborhoods): $60
- Frisco: $120
- Copper Mountain, Keystone, Silverthorne, Dillon: $140
- No Denver airport pickup or drop-off (see getting up from DIA)
Other fees, all optional or situational
- Drivers aged 21 to 24: $15 a day
- Pets: $25 a day
- Car seats (rear-facing, forward-facing, booster): $10 a day each, added at booking
- Extra miles: $0.70 per mile over 200 a day
- Refundable security deposit held on your card at pickup
Cancellation
- 7 or more days before pickup: full refund minus 4% processing
- 72 hours to 7 days: 50% refund
- Under 72 hours: no refund
- Weather: if I-70 or the passes close and you cannot reach Summit County, call us; we reschedule or refund case by case
Requirements
- Age 21 or older with a valid driver’s license
- Your own personal auto insurance with collision and comprehensive; upload a binder showing coverage amounts at booking (an insurance card is not enough; commercial policies not accepted)
- A credit or debit card for the deposit
How we compare
Airport counters add concession recovery fees, facility charges and energy surcharges that can be 20 to 30 percent on top of the quoted rate, and the car you get may be a front-wheel-drive sedan on all-season tires. Peer-to-peer apps vary by host, with trip fees and insurance choices that add up. Our price is one number, the car is an AWD SUV on winter tires, and it is waiting at your door. If you are on a tight budget and staying in town, read whether you need a car at all; we would rather you rent for two days than resent a week.
Pricing questions
What is the cheapest way to rent a car in Breckenridge?
Book a 2015 Ford Explorer outside peak weeks and pick it up free at our Airport Road lot: from $75 a day with 200 miles included. Holiday weeks and powder weekends cost more because demand is higher, like every rental company here.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The booking page shows the daily rate, any delivery fee you choose, the young-driver fee if it applies and tax before you pay. There is no airport concession fee, no facility charge and no fuel markup; bring it back at the same fuel level.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, a refundable hold on your card at pickup, released after the car is returned and checked. The amount is shown at booking.
Do I need to buy insurance?
We do not sell insurance. You need your own personal auto policy with collision and comprehensive coverage, and you upload a binder showing the coverage amounts when you book. An insurance card alone is not enough, and commercial policies are not accepted.
Is it cheaper than renting at Denver airport?
For a long trip with the car every day, the airport can be cheaper per day. For a typical Breckenridge week where you drive two or three days, a private car or shuttle up plus a local rental for those days is usually cheaper once airport fees and gas for the I-70 round trip are counted, and you get a winter-ready SUV.
