2018 Ford Explorer AWD: newer, same room
- Seats 7 or 5 plus cargo
- All-wheel drive, winter tires, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Silver: full panoramic sunroof. Khaki: front massaging seats instead of the sunroof
- Silver and khaki, your choice at booking if both are free
- From $90 a day off-season
Same layout as the 2015 with a newer interior and the only cars in the fleet with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Pick this one if you are driving a lot or want CarPlay for the I-70 run. The silver one has the full panoramic sunroof; the khaki one swaps the sunroof for front massaging seats, which some guests prefer after a ski day.
2016 Lincoln MKX AWD: the luxury option

Fleet questions
How many people fit in the Explorer?
Seven with the third row up, or five with a large cargo area. For a family of five with ski bags, the Explorer with the third row folded is the usual pick.
Do the cars have ski racks?
Skis and boards go inside: fold one or both third-row seats and they fit flat. If you need all seven seats and skis, book two cars or ask us which fits your group best.
Which car is the luxury option?
The Lincoln MKX: leather, heated seats, quieter cabin, the same AWD and winter tires. Five seats, so it suits couples and families of four.
Are the cars all-wheel drive?
Yes, every vehicle, and every one is on winter tires. That satisfies Colorado’s traction law for I-70 and the passes.
Can I choose a specific car?
You book a vehicle class (2015 Explorer, 2018 Explorer or MKX). Color depends on availability; tell us a preference and we will try.
